Chelsea Clinton’s ‘royal Presidential weddings

The happy couple
Marc Mezvinsky and Chelsea Clinton wed at an outdoor ceremony at the Astor Courts estate on Saturday, July 31 in Rhinebeck, N.Y. The wedding took place on a near-perfect summer day of warm temperatures, blue skies and cottony clouds. White House weddings have come a long way from the modest affair of Maria Monroe, the first child to wed while her father was president. Her private nuptials, over 188 years ago, received very little press — just a 34-word mention in a Washington paper.
Flash forward 21 presidential weddings later and Jenna Bush’s lavish nuptials at the Bush family’s 1,600-acre ranch was an event covered by nearly every outlet.
Only nine were actually wed at the White House: Maria Monroe, John Adams, Elizabeth Tyler, Nellie Grant, Alice Roosevelt, Jessie Wilson, Eleanor Roosevelt, Lynda Bird Johnson, and Tricia Nixon — who had her wedding broadcast live.
In his book "All the Presidents' Children," author and former George H.W. Bush aide Doug Wead expounds on the rich history of White House families.

A 'privilege' to dress Chelsea, says Vera Wang

Chelsea Clinton needed two gowns by Vera Wang for her elaborate wedding to Marc Mezvinksy — one for the ceremony and one for the party.
The more formal dress worn by Clinton on Saturday at an exclusive estate in Rhinebeck, N.Y., had a strapless bodice, laser-cut organza ball skirt and a glittery embellished belt. For the reception, she changed into a Grecian-style gown with a narrow, black grosgrain belt.
Wang also dressed the bridesmaids. They wore strapless bias-cut gowns made of lavender chiffon with plum-colored bows.

The designer was a guest at the event and said it was a "privilege" to dress Clinton. She said the bride "radiated joy, youth and happiness."
As mother of the bride, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton tapped Oscar de la Renta — designer of one of her inaugural gowns when her husband was president — to make her raspberry-colored embroidered gown.
The groom wore a custom wool-mohair mix tuxedo by Burberry.

Lindsay Lohan is released from jail

Lindsay Lohan has been released from jail, but she's not exactly a free woman.
Los Angeles sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said the actress was discharged at 1:35 a.m. PT (4:45 a.m. ET) Monday after serving 14 days of a 90-day sentence for violating her probation in a 2007 drug case. She is now required to begin a three-month stint in rehab. A prosecutor has said that Lohan cannot be released early and will have to spend the entire time in treatment. The actress left through an undetected side entrance, NBC News reported.
Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, did not immediately return an e-mail message seeking comment.
A judge in Beverly Hills, Calif., had ordered Lohan to report to rehab within a day of her release from jail, but shortened that time last week after conferring with Lohan's attorney and a prosecutor. Whitmore said Monday that the actress was required to report directly to rehab.
Celebrity website RadarOnline reported that she was picked up by staff from the UCLA Medical Center, where she will begin her treatment.
Lohan's abbreviated stay was not unexpected, although it was considerably longer than the 84 minutes she spent at the same facility in 2007. The judge said during Lohan's surrender on July 20 that she had no control over how long the actress would be jailed, but did require her to serve her time a women's jail operated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Inmates such as Lohan who are serving time for nonviolent offenses typically have their stays reduced due to overcrowding and credits for good behavior.

Celebrity Apprentice – Omarosa Lands Her Own Reality DATING Show!

Lord help us all. Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth is getting her own reality show. No, this is not a joke. She is like a bad zit that just won’t go away and now she will have her own show to inflict more pain upon us all.
Apparently Omarosa can’t find love on her own, so Donald Trump is going to help her out. Created by Trump Prodcutions, Omarosa’s Ultimate Merger will torture us for eight episodes, while she puts twelve men through her own personal hell in hopes hat they will propose to her in the end.
Is Donald paying these guys to do the show? He is behind her all the way and will be there to help her on this quest for love,
“Omarosa was a great personality on The Apprentice that was watched by over 40 million people as it became the No. 1 show on TV. Omarosa is smart, witty and difficult, but all of those qualities will make for some very interesting entertainment.”
I am mostly curious to see what kind of men would sign up for this. Self-loathing, pathetic, insane? This will be interesting to say the least. I am sure that since it is Trump’s show, it will be the biggest, most beautiful, entertaining, number one show in television history……
